HabitSumo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

By using HabitSumo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Data We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to our servers:

• Habits you create (names, descriptions, schedules)
• Check-in history and completion data
• Habit strength and streak information
• App preferences and settings
• Widget configurations

Data Synced via iCloud (Premium Users)

If you enable iCloud Sync (Premium feature), your habit data is synced through Apple's iCloud service:

• This data is stored in your personal iCloud account
• We do not have access to your iCloud data
• iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy

Data We May Collect

We may collect limited anonymous data for app improvement:

• Crash reports: Anonymous crash data to help us fix bugs (via Apple's built-in crash reporting)
• App Store analytics: Anonymous usage statistics provided by Apple (downloads, active users, retention)

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the limited data we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the HabitSumo service
• Fix bugs and improve app stability
• Understand general usage patterns to improve the app
• Respond to support requests (when you contact us)

We do NOT use your data to:

• Show you advertisements
• Build profiles about you
• Sell to third parties
• Send marketing emails (unless you explicitly subscribe to our newsletter)

4. Data Storage & Security

Local Storage: Your habit data is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework with encryption enabled.

iCloud Storage: If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple's security standards. We cannot access this data.

No External Servers: HabitSumo does not maintain external servers that store your personal habit data. We do not have databases of user habits or personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

HabitSumo integrates with the following third-party services:

• Apple iCloud: For data synchronization (optional, Premium feature). Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store: For purchases and subscriptions. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: For subscription management. They receive anonymized purchase data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

We do not share your habit data with any third parties.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data: All your data is visible within the app
• Delete your data: Delete habits individually or use "Delete All Data" in Settings
• Export your data: Export functionality available in Settings
• Disable iCloud Sync: Turn off sync in Settings to keep data local only

Since we don't store your data on our servers, there's no data for us to delete. Your data is fully under your control.

7. Children's Privacy

HabitSumo is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

For significant changes, we may provide additional notice within the app. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
